“This performance is aimed for an off-stage location: an exposition space, a foyer, a resting place, a bar…somewhere that passersby and visitors are free to take their time and stop for a moment. I don’t present myself to an audience, but to these passersby and visiters; I greet one person at a time and offer them one – or several – stamps that they can use to mark a medium of their choice. It’s an intimist, diary-like relationship, a performance-meeting by one or two people at a time, the sharing of a single moment, the sharing of poetic devices, an exchange, a free action. The memory of each visit is then recorded for me in my stamp register [and them on their souvenir].”
